Background

Aimed at sharing and presenting the contents of TOMONI Africa initiative to encourage participation in the circulation of human resources between Japan and Africa, especially among young people.
Contribute to sharing the attractions of and their aspirations for future engagement with Africa that young Japanese students, who have not had much involvement with Africa, discovered during their travels in Africa. Comments from JICA ABE students from the respective countries will be received to deepen the discussion.
Hold discussions on the aspirations for expanding youth exchanges and the possibilities of co-creation between young people from Japan and Africa.

Objective

Increase interest in Africa among young people in Japan to enhance the momentum of "co-creation" and "circulation" with Africa, initiated by TICAD9, through sharing experiences in Africa from the perspective of young people – the next generation.
Expand participation in TOMONI Africa and create opportunities for expansion of domestic networks of Africa-related individuals by delivering positive messages to young audience who are interested in Africa, but hesitant to take the first step.
